Here’s The Problem
The three passengers in the vehicle also did not have valid licenses and a tow truck was called. The passengers were asked to step out one at a time to check for weapons because the vehicle was involved in the recent shooting.
Two passengers complied with the officers, however, the third attempted to jump into the driver’s seat and drive away while reaching for something in his waistband. The passenger, who was identified as 37-year-old Jorge Lopez of Springfield, was stopped by the officers and a loaded firearm was located on his waistband. During a search of the vehicle, a bag with narcotics inside was also found.
